FORTRESS EXPLODES.
GREAT DAMAGE CAUSED. By Telegraph.—Press Assn —Copyright. Received Oct. 28, 7.25 p.m. Rome, Oct. 27. Twenty-two people were killed and three hundred injured through an ex plosion in a powder magazine in Sainteleva fortress, near Savona. The fortress was demolished and the surrounding country devastated. Many build-
ings were destroyed, including a church and the Town Hall. The newspaper Messagero alleges the explosion was aue to a terrorist plot.—Reuter Service.
