THE SAVINGS BANK.
QUARTERLY RETURN. By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington, Oct. 28. The quarterly Savings Bank returns show that deposits at September 30 were £7,631,891, as compared with £8,639,395 last year. The withdrawals were £8,087,725 against £8.070,403. The excess of the latter over deposits _was £455,834, whereas in September last year the deposits exceeded the withdrawals by £568,992.
