WAR GRAVES.
A REWARD OFFERED. FOR RECOVERY OF BODIES. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. London, Oct. 26. A reward of two francs, which at the present time is worth less than I)£d, will be paid for each Australian soldier’s body recovered on the battlefields. This decision is the result of a meeting of the Anglo-French mixed commission, at which emphasis was laid upon the necessity for uniformity of the Allied rewards in those areas where fighting had so damaged the soil that the peasants will not return to live there. Consequently there is no chance of recovering bodies unless special investigations are undertaken.
