THE PEOPLE’S. LAST NIGHT OF WM. RUSSELL. 5 „■ William Russell leaves town to-night. “The Man who Dared,” the William Fox drama of the Caiifornian red-woods, ends its run at the People’s Theatre. It ie a story of lumberjack life. Real lumberjacks are seen in action in their own natural habitat among the giant trees that tower fl|ike cathedrals. One of them, Jack King, actually divides his time between acting for Fox films and riding logs for a living. “The Man who Dared” is a fascinating love story. A big -Sunshine comedy and gazette® are also shown. To-morrow’s change presents Alice Lake in her big Metro special “The Greater Claim,” a drama more powerful than passion and finer even than love. EVERYBODY’S. EARLE WILLIAMS IN “DIAMONDS ADRIFT.” A high-bred cat and a diamond bracelet are the objects upon which tJie story of “Diamonds Adrift,” commencing tonight at Everybody’s, centres. In the star role of the feature is the popular Earle Williams, whose adventures on one of his ships, on which he has been sent to work for spending too mtich money, makes an interesting and thrilling story. When the ship reaches a certain Mexican port the hero’s adventures begin with a vengeance. There he falls in love with a beautiful daughter of Spain, and in attempting to woo her has some exciting experiences, but he secures the lady, also the cat, and a particularly offensive Spanish gent»eman for whom his Government are offering a big reward, so who can say that a black cat does not bring luck? The bill includes gazettes, comedy and “’The Invisible Hand.”
