MAORI FOUND SHOT. By Telegraph—Press Association. Whakatane, Oct. 25. At about 2 p.m. yesterday a Maori lad named Kerorene. aged 16, was found shot close to the Waimana township. The lad went out after lunch, and some time afterwards a gun report was heard in the vicinity of the house. On investigation the body was found on a pathway leaving the house with the still smoking gun alongside. The accident occurred on a farm belonging to a Native.
