IMPORTANT DISCUSSION THE PRESS EXCLUDED. By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. The annual conference of the New Zealand Alliance of Labor opened today. The delegates present represent 42,000 workers. Mr. Mack, president of the alliance, was in the chair. The organisations represented are the Amalgamated Society of Railway Servants. Waterside Workers’ Federation, Freezing Workers’ Federation, Seamen’s Federation, Miners’ Federation. Tramwaymax’s Federation, Drivers’ Federation, and the New Zealand Engineering Union. The proceedings were not open to the Press, but it is understood important issues will be discussed.
