ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.
A MOTOR FATALITY. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Oct. 24. A retired, painter, Alexander Claris., a widower, died in hospital on. Saturday afternoon as a result of having been knocked down by a motor car driven by Henry Bird, of Lower Hutt, in Constable Street. Clark had just stepped off a tramcar when he was ruff down by tho motor. FALL ON A PAVEMENT. Auckland, Oct. 24. Thomas Hook, customs officer, aged 33, is in. hospital semi-conscious with a fractured skull caused by a fall on the pavement. HORSE TRAINER’S DEATH. Auckland, Oct. 24. W. H. Windsor, aged 40, horse trainer and owner, died suddenly at a boardinghouse. A bottle containing a fluid preparation was found under his bed. An inquest will be necessary. At the inquest on Windsor a verdict of suicide was returned.
