Captain Fowler left at daylight in an endeavor to make a one-day flight to Auckland, stopping at Timaru and Wellington. Invercargill, Last Night. Captain Fowler telegraphs from Timaru that the first stage of the Invercargill— Auckland flight, 228 miles, was covered in two hours, at an average speed of 114 miles an hour. The continuance of the flight has been postponed until Wednesday, owing to unfavorable weather in the north.
