MANGOREI DAIRY COMPANY.
MEETING GF SfIABEHOLDEnS. F° r some time past tliere lias been a dilterenee of opinion among shareholders ot the Mangorei Dairy Company in respect, to cream supply and the basis of payment for same. Quite a number of shareholders have adopted home separation and in view of the fact that this means a saving to the company in the working expenses thev have felt they were justly entitled to a little extra allowance per lb. of butter-fat. On the other hand there are shareholders who still prefer to supply whole milk to the company’s creameries and they have been opposed to any extra payment being made to cream suppliers. The question has been discussed on many occasions and on Thursday an extraordinary general meeting of shareholders was held when the whole matter was again considered and it was eventually decided that suppliers themselves defray the cost of running their respective creameries. This will mean that suppliers of whole milk will themselves have to meet the running expenses of the creamery they supply and the cartage of c/eam to the main factory, while the cream suppliers will have to' meet the cost of carting their eream from the farm to the main factory. The expenses at the main factory and the general administrative expenses of the company will of course be a charge on suppliers as a whole.
