The New Zealand golf championship meeting was continued at Shirley to-day in dull weather. The second round of the amateur championship and the first round of the professionals' match were played, with the following results: AMATEUR CHAMPIONSHIP. Second Round. Bidwill (Wairarapa) beat Duncan (Wellington), 1 up. Sime (Greymouth) beat Colbeck (Auckland), at the 21st hole. Wight (St. Clair) beat Crosse (Napier) at the 19th hole. Godby (Christchurch) beat Brasch (Otago), 3 and 2. Black (Hutt) beat Templer (Christchurch), 2 and 1. Goss (Wanganui) beat Rain ger (Auckland), 2 up. Macfarlane (Christchurch) beat Wood (Christchurch), 5 and 4. McCormack (Auckland) beat Anderson (Christchurch), 4 and 3. PROFESSIONAL MATCH. • First Round. E. J. Moss (Auckland) beat A. Brooks (Hutt), 4 and 3. L. C. Butters (Christchurdi) beat G. B. Forrest (Tamaru), 5 and 4. J. A. Clements (Napier) beat R. H. Blair (Auckland), 3 and 2. E. S- Douglas (Miramar) a bye. A four-ball bogey handicap was won by Horton and Taylor, 10 up.
