Godby (Christchurch) beat Brasch (Otago), 3 and 2. Black (Hutt) beat Templer (Christchurch), 2 and 1. Goss (Wanganui) beat Rain ger (Auckland), 2 up. Macfarlane (Christchurch) beat Wood (Christchurch), 5 and 4. McCormack (Auckland) beat Anderson (Christchurch), 4 and 3. PROFESSIONAL MATCH. • First Round. E. J. Moss (Auckland) beat A.
