'pHE NEW PLYMOUTH BOROUGH Council hereby gives Public Notice that it proposes to borrow the sum of £lO,OOO by way of Special Loan under “The Local Bodies Loans Act, 1913.” THE PARTICULAR PURPOSES for which the loan is required are:— (a) £lO,OOO for .providing additions and extensions to the Borough “Waterworks” as defined by sec-tion-238 of “The Municipal Corporations Act, 1920 ” for purchasing, taking or otherwise acquiring necessary land, buildings, ■machinery, plant and material therefor, for payment of compensation to persons injuriously affected thereby and for any other purposes incidental or in relation to any of the abovementioned purposes. (b) The sum to be borrowed for all such purposes is £lO,OOO. (e) The proposed security for the said loan of £lO,OOO and the instalments thereon is an annually recurring special rate of one-seventh of a penny (l/7d) in the pound on rateable value of all rateable property in the said Borough of New Plymouth, and provision is made for repayment by means of half-year-ly instalments in 36| years under section G 8 of “The Local Bodies Loans Act, 1913.” (d) It is proposed to pay out of the said loan the cost of raising the said Loan and the instalments in respect of interest and principal thereon for the first year.
