Mr. -Justice Herdman made an order on the application -by the Auckland Law Society suspending Francis Tipping from practice pending a decision by the Court of Appeal on the motion to strike Tipping off the roll. ' GELIGNITE TO CATCH FISH. Auckland, Last Night. Charges of having broken and Entered a store near Whangarei and stolen a quantity of gelignite, and with having used gelignite to catch fish at the Poor Knights, near Whangarei, were preferred against John Buchanan and Albin Charles Hansen at the Police Court today. A charge against a third man was withdrawn, ft, was admitted that gelignite was used at the spot marked on the chart by Buchanan, leave ’being given to argue whether the spot was within New Zealand waters as defined by section 2 of the Fisheries Act. On the other charges the accused were committed for trial.
