Mystery surrounds the death of a native "girl named Maria Patatai. aged 17, wlio died while being conveyed to the Wanganui hospital from Marton. zt post mortem was held, and the police have forwarded the contents of the stomach to the Government analyst. At the coronial inquiry held to-day if was stated that the girl belonged to Taupo, and was on a visit to friends at Marton. She became ill and was removed to a private hospital there, when the doctors decided to send her op tu he Wanganui hospital. The inquest •yas adjourned in order to get the Govaniitoafcla.
