A NEW TERROR.
SECRET VIOLENT EXPLOSIVE. INTERESTING DISCOVERY. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyrigit. Received Oct. 18, 5.5 p.m. London. Oct. 17. The Berlin correspondent of the Daily Chronicle reports that experts have come to the conclusion that the ruins of Oppan. the scene of a terrible explosion In a chemical factory, hold a dread secret. They believe the substance which exploded did so because the wrong quantities of certain constituents were used, thus bringing into existence a new explosive of an astounding character, which bursts and create* another substance. which also explodes. Chemists ate busy tracking down the error. The new explanation is due to the discovery of the material which was supposed to have caused the disaster intact in large quantities near the centre of the explosion. The rebuilding of the works will commence at nnc? and the cost ia estimated at 250.000.000 marks.—Aw.NJ2. Cable Assn.
