BAPTIST CONFERENCE.

MISSIONARY WORK. By Telegraph—Press Association. Wanganui, Last Night. At the Baptist conference to-day it was decided, “That with a view to stimulating missionary interest among men it be an instruction to the missionary executive to take into early consideration the problem of organising the manhood of our churches into a laymen’s missionary union.’” It was resolved that the Senior Messenger be incorporated with the New Zealand Baptist, and that the manager of the Baptist be requested to arrange foe at least three pages to be devoted to missionary news. Mr. R. S. Gray was elected secretary and treasurer, and Mr. Stanley Jenkin was reelected editor of the Missionary Messenger. It was reported that the Missionary Society's receipts were £5514.
