The fact that the beach at Moturoa, between the tea kiosk and the root of the wharf, is steadily creeping out was mentioned by the harbor master (Captain W. Waller) in his report to the| monthly meeting of the New Plymouth Harbor Board yesterday. He stated that on September *BO, he measured the distances off shore of the Hawea wreck, and found it to be 216 feet from water ordinary tide. A special meeting of the Inglewooid County Council was held on Wednesday. In regard to the £5OO loan for the Ngatoro-iti bridge, it was resolved to strike a special loan of 191-100 d in thp £ over the special rating area. A special rate of 1 7-10 d in the £ will also be struck on the £3OO loan for draining and forming the Norfolk West Road. This concluded the business for which the special meeting was called. The Taranaki Farmers’ Meat Co. are now offering to the public choice panned meats, manufactured at their own works. The quality of -these goods js highly ’spoken of, and householders will be well advised to try samples. The meats are put up under proper supervision and well turned out. Taranaki folk should make a point of supporting their own works by using the various tinned lines put up by the T.F.M. Details are advertised. The annual general meeting of the New Plymouth Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club will be held in the Soldiers* Club to-night, when a full attendance of members and intending members is requested.
