PREJUDICE AGAINST OLD STOCKS A prominent dairy authority in toucl with the Home markets informs us thahis latest advice is to the effect tha> there is a decided die-inclination on thd part of the public to buy the old make of butter controlled by the Imperial authorities, and that the recent decrease in price has been brought about by this prejudice. The public are awaiting, the arrival of fresh New Zealand butter, than which there is none better at Home in the winter, when there should be a recovery of prices. Our informant expecte the prices realised will be. such as to permit of from 1/9 to 2/- to be paid out in Taranaki.
