BRITISH PRISONERS RELEASED. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. London, Oct. 11. The Government has received information that the British prisoners held by the Kemalists have arrived at Inveoli, therefore the Turkish prisoners at Malta, have been released and sent to Inveoli. CROSS CHANNEL TRAIN FERRY. London, Oct. 11. The Richborough train ferry, which during the war carried thousands of train loaxls o-f munitions across the Channel, is now being utilised to bring French fruit and vegetable direct to London via Calais and Richborough without unloading. The first train of 30 large cars arrived in London to-day. EXCAVATIONS AT EPHESUS. Athens, Oct. 11. Excavations at Ephesus resulted in the discovery of considerable portions of the church of St. John the Evangelist, notably the crypt, which is the traditional tomb of the apostle. INDIAN NAVAL OFFICERS. London, Oct. I'l. It has been decided that when the Indian Marine is recognised it will co-operate with the Pacific Fleet. Indians will receive commissions after training in Britain.
