A CASE OF SUICIDE. By Telegraph.—’’less Association Otaki, Oct, 10. Samuel Proctor, aged 58. was found drowned at Paraparaumu on Saturday, with a bag of sand round his neck. A letter was found stating that he had nothing to live for. MISSING WOMAN’S BODY FOUND. Wellington, Oct. 10. The body of Miss L. E. Buckley was found half buried in the sand on Ward Island. The young woman, whose parents reside in Auckland, had been missing from Petone since September 24. Search was made all along the beaches of the harbor, but nobody thought of looking at the island, which is rarely visited. AUCKLAND EAST ELECTION OFFICIAL LIBERAL CANDIDATE. By Telegraph—Press Association. Auckland, Oct. 10. The Liberal leader, Mr. .W. M. Wilford, has announced that he has accepted the Hon. G. W. Russell as official Liberal candidate for the Auckland East seat.
