ANOTHER MOVIE SENSATION.
DEATH OF FILM DIRECTOR. ACTRESSES IN CUSTODY. By Telegraph.--Press Assn.—Copyright. Received Oct. 10, 9.35 p.m. Washington, Oct. 9. According to a Los Angelos telegram, two actresses have been held in custody in connection with the death of Al Stein, 26 years of age, assistant director of the Century Film Corporation. An autopsy revealed that he apparently died from acute alcoholism, following a drinking party in his room. Stein was a professional associate of Fred Fishback, who was a guest at the Arbuckle party. Telegrams and notations bearing on the Arbuckle case were found in Stein’s room. The actresses, Mrs. Jeanne Munroe 'and Miss Mildred Bellivin, declared that three unident :f ied men were also under the influence of liquor with Stein before the latter’s death.—Aus.-N.Z.
