AIRSHIP PROJECT.

SERVICE FOR THE EMPIRE. NEGOTIATIONS CONTINUEDBy Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. London, Oct. O. Mr. Ashbolt. Tasmanian Agent-Gen-eral, interviewed, stated that the negotiations with the Government had been continued in reference to airships since the Imperial Conference. The matter had been taken up by him and those associated with him at the point where it was left by the Dominion Premiers, and satisfactory progress had been made but, while it was inevitable that negotiations could not be completed pending the decisions of the Dominions’ legislators, the work had proceeded. Mr. Ashbolt added that the loss of R3B had not deterred the Government or the promoters of an Imperial Air Service continuing their efforts to establish a service on a practical basis. Substantial advances have been made as recently as last week, in anticipation of favorable replies from the Dominions.
