WIFE DESERTER PUNISHED. By Telegraph—Press Association. Invercargill. Oct. 5. David Harris, who was brought back from Melbourne, was sentenced to 12 months’ reformative treatment for wife desertion. The secretary of the Charitable Aid Board said accused had cost the board £lOO. Cases of desertion were increasing and he asked that an example be made.
