AN HABITUAL CRIMINAL. By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. At the Supreme Court on Saturday, Charles Roxborough appeared for sentence on a charge of escaping from custody and on six charges of breaking and entering at Palmerston North. He was sentenced to six months’ imprisonment on each charge and declared an habitual criminal. FORGERY ADMITTED. Auckland, Oct. 1. A youth of 16 was committed for sentence to-day on admitting six charges of forgery of cheques totalling £5O 18s.
