The New York Globe’s Pekin correspondent states Chinese militarists are alarmed at the activities of the Salvation Army on account of parades in which uniforms, banners and bands are used. General Wangitek has asked the Foreign Office to approach the legations and ask them to consider either the disbanding of the Salvation Army or force it to cease using military equipment and abolish military titles. The protest alleges the Salvation Army is a military organisation using reglion as a i subterfuge.
