IMPROVING THE HERD.
DEMAND FOR PEDIGREE SIRES, SOUTH TARANAKI JERSEY SALE. The demand that now exists for pedigree Jersey sires with which to head the dairy herd was illustrated at Hawera yesterday, when, despite the fact that it was rather early In the season, there was a good attendance of South Taranaki buyers at the pedigree sale held on the Hawera A. and P. Association’s grounds. The sale was conducted by Messrs. K. P. Morrisey and Co., and the majority of the leading Jersey breeders of Taranaki were represented by the lots offered, which mostly comprised bulls. Mr. R. P.
