CUSTOMS REVENUE.
PORT OF NEW PLYMOUTH. The amount collected in Customs duty through the port of New Plymouth in September was £5757 Is lid, a falling off of nearly half being shown as compared with the same period in 1920. There was a slight increase in the beer duty. Details are:**-
In the nine months up to September 30, the. amount of Customs duty at New Plymouth was .£55,070 Os Bd, and £lB9O 7s 3d was collected in beer duty. DOMINION FIGURES. A MARKED DECREASE. Customs revenue and beer duty collected in New Zealand during the past month totalled £209,936, against £274,797 in September last year, when the importing boom was on.
