I The Rarawa arrived from Onenunga at an early hour yesterday morning with passengers and 154 tons of cargo, including 25 tons of sugar. The vessel sailed again for Onehunga at 8.30 p.m. A SHIPMENT OF BENZINE. Messrs. Collett and Co., Ltd., advise that the auxiliary l.ow Kol:i is scheduled to leave Wellington to-day with 1500 cases of benzine for New Plymouth, and should arrive here to- ! morrow. ESSEX TO LOAD MEAT. I Advice has been received tha: the Essex iis to load frozen meat at Now Plymouth I about October 16 under the auspices of the New Zealand Shipping Company. Tiie quanI tity of meat is not yet known. The Essex | is a steel twin-screw steamer of 8722 tons I gross and 5645 tons net registered tonnage, I built on the Clydebank in 1902. Her principal dimensions are: Length 460.4 ft., bre«....h 52.2 ft., and depth 30.6 ft. CORINNA FROM SOUTH. i The Union Company advise that the Corinna i left Oamaru a -.22 p.m. on Thursday, then having a cargo amounting to 500 tons for New Plymouth. She is due here next Wednesday, via Timaru, Lyttelton, Nelson and Wellington. KAHIKA’S MOVEMENTS. The Kahika is to leave Wellington to-day for Lyttelton and New Plymouth, and should be here by Wednesday. SHIPMENT CANCELLED. It was announced on Thursday that a consignment of 15,000 freight carcases of meat was to be transported from Patea for shipment on the liner Port Lyttelton at New Plymouth. Further advice was received yesterday to the effect that the allotment in question had been cancelled. RIVERINA TO BE WITHDRAWN. The Huddart-Parker Company is transferring the Riverina from the New Zealand service to the Sydney-Hobart seme.e for the tourist season, commencing on November 23.—Aus.N.Z. Cable Assn. TAHITI LEFT SYDNEY. Cable advice has been received by the Union Company that the R.M.S. Tahiti left Sydney at 10 o’clock on Thursday morning direct for Wellington with 326 passengers The vessel is due at Wellington on Monday morning, and will sszil on Tuesday for San Francisco via Rarotonga.
PORT CURTIS FROM LONDON. Tl:e C. and D. Line advise that the Port Curtis is to load at London for Auckland and Wellington. She will leave Home on November 9, coming out via Panama. CARGO FROM HOME. The C. and D. Line advise that the Port Elliot is to load at Glasgow .and Liverpool for Auckland, Wellington. Lyttelton and Dunedin. The vessel will leave Liverpool on October 23, coming out via Panama. PIAKO AT COLON. Cable advice has been received stating that the liner Piako, en route from Liverpool, arrived at Colon on Sunday last, bound for Auckland and other New Zealand ports. The vessel is due at Auckland on October 25, and at Wellington about ( a week later. PALOONA AT WELLINGTON. The Union Company’s steamer Paloona arrived at Wellington on Thursday afternoon from Melbourne. She has 1900 tons of cargo for Wellington and 200 for south, and transhipments ex the Cangriano. She has aoout 3000 cases of fruit, mostly oranges and lemons, for New Zealand. 9 SHIPPING TELEGRAMS. ARRIVED.
