FOOTBALL TOUR.
A VISIT TO SOUTH AFRICA. INVITATION ACCEPTED. By Telegraph—-Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. At the New Zealand Rugby Union meeting to-night it was stated that an invitation had been accepted for a visit to South Africa in 1923. A letter was received from the Southland Times complaining of discourteous treatment, their representative not being allowed to attend the dinner to the Springboks after the test match at WelI ngton. It was stated that the reporter had received an invitation to be present. Complaint was also made of inadequate accommodation for Pressmen at Athletic Park.
A vote of thanks was passed t® the selectors, Messrs. Griffiths, Stewart and Nicholson, for valuable services rendered. It was admitted that the selectors had a difficult task to perform, but they had done their work in a thoroughly conscientious manner. It was stated that the selectors were preparing a report as guidance for the future.
