ITALIANS SHOW HOSTILITY. FRENCH TROOPS HOOTED. By Telegraph.—-Press Assn.—Copyrlgl i. Received Sept. 28. 5.5 p.m. London, Sept. 28. The Paris correspondent of the Daily Express states that Marshal Fayollc and ft party of French officers and troops visited Italy to attend the unveiling of a manument to French soldiers killed on the Italian front. The mission received a hostile reception at Milan, where it wan generally hooted, and the officers were maltreated in the streets. Very grave incidents occurred at Venice. The city was generously beflagged, but no French colors were visible. The French troops displayed the Tricolor, whereupon the populace hooted and groaned. Men and women broke the cordon oi police and chased Marshal Fayolle into a campanile, shouting: “Down With France.” The disturbances continued for hours.
