THE PEOPLE’S. LAST NIGHT OF GEO. WALSH AND PEGGY HYLAND. “A Manhattan Knight,” the greatest mystery photo-play ever screened here, and produced by William Fox, with George WaLsh in the stellar role, ends its engagement to-night at the People’s Theatre. This fascinating play is a screen adaptation of the famous novel “Find the Woman,” by Gelett Burgees. The bill includes “The Web of Chance,” the William Fox production, starring Peggy Hyland. The star’s charming personality and the exceptionally clever story have combined to produce an unusual photoplay and one abounding in fun and surprises. To-morrow’s change presente the big Metro feature “The Afarriage of William Ashe,” featuring May Allison, and “The Diamond Queen” will also be shown. EVERYBODY’S. “THE HOUSE OF INTRIGUE.” “The House of Intrigue,” commencing to-night at 'Everybody’s, is an absorbing drama of society and underworld life, in which the elements of suspense and mystery are woven in a wholly interesting manner. This picture marks the American debut of a well-known English actress, Peggy May, in the principal role of the young actress, who, out of a job and penniless, is offered £2OO for an impersonation, which she accepts, and is thrust headlong into a chain of astounding events. Which follow each upon the other in astounding swiftness. Good entertainment is a feature of the picture, while suspense and sensationalism, coupled with fine characterisation, furnish further reasons for the picture's claim to sustain the interest of the onlooker. The bill includes “The Invisible Hand,” gazettes and a Pathe comedy, “When the Wind Blowe.”
