WEDDING.

FLEMING—BYRNES. A very popular wedding was solemnised by the Rev. Father Prendagast at the Pungarehu Church on Wednesday, 14th, when Miss Molly Byrnes, only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. R. Byrnes, of Kahui Road, Rahotu, was married to Mr. Richard Fleming, eldest son of Mr. W. Fleming, also of Kahui Road, Rahotu. The bride, who was given away by her father, was charmingly dressed in white charmeuse, with an overdress of fine tissue lace, and wore a beautifully embroidered veil with a coronet of pearls. The court train in pink satin was draped from the shoulders, giving a pretty effect, a lovely bouquet completed the toilette. She was attended by Misses May and Nellie Fleming as bridesmaids, who w r ore blue crepe de chine and cream charmeuse respectively, with pretty picture hats to match. Mr. M. Fleming, brother of the bridegroom, acted, as best man, while Mr. A. Gillhooly attended as groomsman. After the marriage ceremony a reception was held at the residence of the bride’s parents, where about 200 people were entertained, the usual toasts being honored. Later in the day Mr. and Mrs. Fleming left for the North, where the honeymoon will be spent, the bride travelling in a smart nigger brown costume and hat, and wearing handsome fox furs, the gift of the bridegroom. The presents were numerous and costly, testifying to the popularity of the young couple.
