OPUNAKE’S ANNUAL SHOW. j : } /it , THE LIST OF AWARDS, r , I I The annual spring show under the ; auspices of tiie Opunake Horticultural and Industrial Exhibit Society was held at the Town Hall, Opunake, yesterday, under glorious weather conditions. There was a good attendance i both in the afternoon and evening. There was a splendid exhibit, particui larly in cut flowers and narcissi sections, the display of the latter being very creditable to the district. The home industries section was also a ' strong one. Messrs. Duncan and Davies, of the Exotic Nurseries, New Plymouth, had a fine exhibit. The energetic committee, of which Mr. D. Mouri was president and Mrs. Appleby secretary, and Mrs. Mouri acting secretary, i had worked hard to ensure the success of the show. The various stewards all I knew their work, and the judging was proceeded with expeditiously, all being in readiness for the opening early m the afternoon.
