PROHIBITION IN AMERICA.

The superintendent of the Chicago police has informed the United States authorities that half tfce Chicago force of 5000 policemen are involved in illegal trade in liquor. He asserts that prohibition is a fallacy, and he says there are more deaths from drink than before prohibition in the Chicago district.—Reuter Service.
