RADIUM FOR EXPERIMENTS.
VALUABLE LOAN TO OXFORD. By Telegraph.—Press Assn —Copyright. Received Sept. 26, 8 p.m. London, Sept. 26. Professor Soddy has arrived in London from Csecho-Slovakia with two grammes of radium, which has been lent to Oxford University for fifteen years, after which it will be returned to Czecho-Slovakia. The radium, which is valued at £70,000, is the biggest and costliest consignment ever moved. The Foreign Office takes custody of the radium until Professor Soddy removes it to Oxford, where it will be used for experimental purposes.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
