At Due New Plymouth to load September 30. Waiotapu, to load on Pacific coast in October. THE RIMU. The Rimu arrived from Onehunga early on Saturday morning with passengers and 95 tons of cargo. The vessel sailed again for Onehunga at 8.30 o'clock on Saturday night. The Rimu will be replaced by the Rarawa in the Onehunga service to-morrow. RAMA WITH CARGO. The Rama, which has 350 tons of general cargo from southern ports for discharge here, arrived shortly after midday on Saturday, She is expected to sail for Wellington this afternoon. ALEXANDER WITH COAL. The Alexander, which arrived from Westport on Friday with a cargo of coal, completed discharging on Saturday afternoon and sailed for Greymouth at 5.30 o’clock. WAIKAWA ARRIVES. The liner Waikawa, with benzine and general cargo from American ports via Auckland and Wellington, arrived at New Plymouth early yesterday morning, and was berthed by the harbormaster (Captain Waller) at 7.45 a.m. On entering the port the vessel’s draught was 20ft. lOin. The Waikawa will probably lie in port for about two days. The vessel, which is 413 ft. long and 5677 tons gross register. Is in command of Captain J. Thomson, who has with him the following officers: Chief officer, Mr. .1. Maclean, second, Mr. H. Williamson; third, Mr. N. Bonetti; chief engineer, Mr. B. J. Hickey-, second, Mr. J. Henderson; third, Mr. R. Patterson ; fourth, Mr. L. Williamson; wireless operator Mr. V. Nivens; chief steward, Mr. A. M. Thorn. KUROW AT ANCHOR. The Union Company’s steamer Kurow, from I Newcastle with coal and other cargo, arrived i and anchored in the stream at 7.30 o’clock yesterday morning. The vessel will berth at the inner berth when the Rama sails this afternoon. ESSEX TO LOAD. The Federal Line advise that the Essex is to leave Sydney on October 15 for New Zealand to load for the West Coast of England. She is expected to leave New Zealand finally about November 15. RUAHINE AT SOUTHAMPTON. The New Zealand Shipping Company’s liner Ruahine arrived at London on September 22. CANADIAN GOVERNMENT LINT?. The Canadian Spinner is due at Wellington from Port Kembla, via Auckland, on October 7, and will subsequently visit Lyttelton and Bluff, sailing finally from the latter port for Boston, New York and Montreal. The Canadian Conqueror is due at Wellington from Australian ports io load for Boston, New York, and Montreal, on October 7. The Canadian Mariner is due at Wellington from Montreal and New York on October 5., PIAKO LEAVES NEWPORT NEWS. The Piako, bound from Liverpool to New Zealand ports, arrived at Newport News on September 20, and left the same day.
