NO CAUSE FOR PANIC. •Sydney, Sept. 23. Another rat infected with plague has been found on the wharf vacated by the Wyreema. Dr. Armstrong explained that there wae no cause for panic. The outbreak would not be severe, even if it did break out.

AN ISOLATION HOSPITAL. Received Sept. 23, 10.15 p.m. Brisbane, Sept. 23. The Lytton quarantine station is being prepared for use as a plague isolation hospital. No fresh cases have been reported. Hobart, Sept. 23. The health authorities have decided to offer sixpence pet head for dead rats. — Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
