A VESSEL WRECKED.
TOTAL LOSS FEARED. By Telegraph.—Press Assn—Copyright. Suva, Sept. 23. The ship Cardinia, bound from Levuka to Apia, missed stays and drifted on the Mumbualan reef at 9.30 last night, bumping heavily. At daylight there was 7 J feet of water in the hold, and it is feared she is a total wreck. Captain Smith and the crew are standing byj -the cargo consists of 1430 tons of copra shipped by Morris Hedstrom and insured for £40.000.
The Government steamer Ranadi. has left Suva for the wreck.
