A GREAT OFFER. . Last Saturday the Modern Tailors, Ltd., New Plymouth and Stratford, made an offer to make to measure 200 suits at cost price in ten days. There was a liberal response. There remain 80 suits yet to be ordered, and the firm elsewhere announce that their offer holds good for the whole of next week. They have on hand a splendid lot of new season’s tweeds and cloths, including West of England woretecte, serges, homespuns, and New Zealand tweeds. The firm guarantee each suit to be tailored in the regular Modern Tailors way, and believe that giving the public good suite at what is practically cost price is the best form of advertisement. BETTER CLASS MOTOR CHEAPER. A writer in Modern Transport states that “the cost of operating and maintaining a motor may eafely be estimated at three farthings a mile in favor of a better class vehicle.” The British build “Dennis” is a high-class lorry.
