The Agricultural Conference has decided to establish an Australian organisation known as the Fairer Memorial. The object is to reward a. person developing a wheat or cereal superior to any now existing, or-who improves any indigenous gi’ass, or makes any worthy ■improvement associated with primary production. [Mr. J'arrer. by careful breeding, produced several varieties of wheat suited to Australian conditions, which gave a much higher yield than those previously cultivated.]
