LABOR PROTEST IN BRITAIN. By Tejearaph.—Press Assn —Copyright. Received Sept. 22, 8.30 p.m. London, Sept. 22. The Trade Union and Labor Party executives conferred regarding unemployment, and passed a resolution calling on the Government to realise the gravity of the situation, and stressing the necessity for immediately assembling Parliament to deal with it. Mr. J. R. Clynes has also written asking' the Speaker to exercise the power conferred on him prior to the adjournment to summon the House before October 18 if be was satisfied that the public Interest justified it. The Labor Party is arranging country-wide demonstrations for October 9, which has been given the title of “Unemployment Sunday.”—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
