'Hie Northern Company reported last night that no news of tlie Rimu’s departure from Onehunga yesterday had been received, and as tire conditions on the bar were rough it was assumed she did not. attempt to cross. Tn this case the Riinu should be here totfnorrow morning, returning to Onehunga tomorrow night.
CORINNA TO-DAY. The Corinna left Nelson a 2.30 p.m. yesterday for New Plymouth with general cargo. She should arrive here to-day. ALEXANDER FROM WESTPORT. The Alexander left Westport at 4.15 p.m. yesterday for New Plymouth with a cargo of coal to discharge here. She should arrive to-day. RAMA WITH CARGO. The Rama is due to arrive from Wellington to-morrow with general cargo to discharge. EASTERNER TO SAIL. The liner Easterner Is expected to complete discharging her oil cargo to-day and sail for Newcastle. VESSELS LAID UP. The Kaikorai, which Is laid up at Wellington, was taken out to the stream on Tuesday and moored there. The Moeraki, Poherua. Kowhai and Kittawa, all of which are 'laid up, are already moored there. The .Manuka, whose crew have just been paid off, and' the Blenheim are alongside the wharf. ULIMAROA LEFT SYDNEY. Cable advice has been received by the Ruddart-Parker Company that the Ulimaroa left Sydney at 2.45 p.m. on Tuesday direct for Wellington. The vessel is due nt Wellington to-unorrow morning, and is to sail on Wednesday next on tte return trip to SydTHE KUMARA. The Shaw, Savill and Albion Company advise that the Kumara has been further delayed in discharging her Liverpool cargo at Auckland by rain. Consequently the vessel will not reach Wellington until to-morrow. PAPAROA LEFT COLON. According to cable advice received by thfr New Zealand Shipping Company, the Paparoa left Colon on the I6tii instant, for London, en route from Wellington. The vessel sailed from Wellington on August 19. WAIHEMO LEFT LOS ANGELES. The Wait emo, from Powell River, Ocean Falls, Union Bay, Vancouver, and San Francisco, left Los Angeles on September 14 for Auckland, Napier, Wellington, Tlmaru, Dunedin, Melbourne, and Sydney. TAIROA ARRIVED HOME. Cable advice has been received by the Shaw, Savill and Albion Company that the Tairoa arrived at Hull on September 10, ana at London on September 16, from Wellington. The vessel left Wellington on July 1 for Home, via Australia. THE PALOONA. The Union Company’s passenger steamer Paloona is due at Wellington next Thursday from Melbourne, and will sail on the following day for Lyttelton, Dunedin, Bluff, and Melbourne. THE TEKOA LAUNCHED. The New Zealand Shipping Company have been advised by cable that their new steamer Tekoa has been successfully launched at Home on the 19th Inst. The vessel, which is to lie insulated, is intended for the New Zealand trade. COMING FROM ’FRISCO.
The G.S.S. Corporation steamer West Mahwah is to leave San Francisco for Auckland o;i September 28, states a cable message received by Spedding, Ltd., Auckland. She should arrive at Auckland about the end of October, and will sail again from there to the Australian ports of Melbourne and Sydney, loading there during November for Pacific Coast ports of America. THE VANCOUVER LINERS. The mall steamer Makura arrived at Suva at 6 a.m. on Saturday from Sydney and Auckland, and sailed again at noon for Honolulu and Vancouver. Advice received by the Union Company states that the mall steamer Niagara arrived at Honolulu at 6.20 a.m. on Saturday from Vancouver, and sailed at 3 p.m. the same day for Suva and Auckland. She Is due at Auckland on September 30, and is scheduled to sail at noon on Saturday, October 1, for Sydney. SHIPPING TELEGRAMS. ARRIVED.
