STEAMER ON FIRE. By Talegraph.—Pres* Assn—Copyrlgh* London, Sept. 20. Lloyds has received a report that the steamer Port Augusta, bound from New York to Fremantle, is on fire in latitude 27 deg. South longitude 9 deg. East (about 500 miles off the coast of SouthWest Africa). Other steamers are in communication with her. ULSTER PARLIAMENT HOUSE. London, Sept. 20. The Ulster Parliament adopted Sir James Craig’s motion approving the purchase of Stormont House demesne as a site for the erection of the new Parliament House and seat of Government. There was practically a full muster of Unionist members of the Senate and House of Commons, but the Sinn Fei tiers and Nationalists were absent. \ DUTCH PARLIAMENT OPENS. The Hague, Sept. 20. Queen Wilhelmina, in opening Parliament, emphasised the general dislocation of economic relations and the gravity of the financial position. The development of friendly relations with foreign Powers was a source of satisfaction. likewise the decision that the League of Nations should establish a permanent Court of Justice at the Hague. THE EXHUMATION QUESTION. London, Sept. 20. The Imperial War Graves Commission discussed the discontinuance of exhumation. Australian, Canadian and Newfoundland representatives vigorously protested against the discontinuance. The War Office undertook to issue :-n explanatory statement in a few days. NATIONS FOOD EXHIBITION. London, Sept. 20. The International Trade Exhibitions, Limited, is organising a Nations’ Food Exhibition at Olympia from September 5 to 2G, 1922. including dairy produce, fruit, cereals and all foodstuffs. The Agents-Genoral have promised to assist.
