FLIGHT ACROSS TASMAN.
FLYING BOAT TO BE USED.,
JOURNALIST AS PASSENGER By Telefraph.-—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. Lieut. Briggs, an Australian airman who gained distinction with the Royal Air Force during the war, and who was prevented by the Australian civil aviation authorities from essaying a flight across the Tasman from Melbourne to Bluff, as his machine was not suitable, will, during the next few months, make the attempt in a large flying boat which he is getting from England. Mr. Horace Wilson, a young New Zealand journalist, with flying experience; who first cabled to Lieut. Briggs for a passenger's seat, has been advised by Lieut. Briggs that he will be only too pleased to have Mr. Wilson accompany him, being a New Zealander. Mr. Wilson accompanied Captain Gray in the flight from Christchurch to Wellington. He resides at Addington, Christchurch, and is 24 years old.
