DISTRICT NEWS.
WAREA. (From Our Own Correspondent.) A very successful dance and social was held recently in the Warea Hall, to bid farewell to a much-esteemed resident, Mrs. F. Larking. Dancing filled the evening, and Mrs. I. E. Larking sang two songs. During the evening Mr. C. Wells made Mrs. Larking a presentation on behalf of the settlers, to which Mr. I. E. Larking responded on behalf of his aunt. The Warea Hall Committee made Mrs. Larking a gift for the many kindnesses she has done for them, and Mr. W. C. Caldwell, on behalf of the committee, presented Mrs. Larking with a handsome travelling rug.
