HAWKE'S BAY CHAMPIONSHIP. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. Napier, Sept. 17. The Hawke’s Bay ladies’ golf championship was won yesterday ’by Mrs. Guy Williams (Masterton), who beat Miss Gambrill (Miranlar), 7 up and 6 to play.

NEW PLYMOUTH CLUB. FINAL OF MEN’S CHAMPIONSHIP.

The final of the ’ New Plymouth Club’s men’s championship was won by T. V. Mackay on Saturday, H. W. Butcher being beaten by 5 up and 4. In the first round Mackay was 5 up on Butcher, after being 7 up at the 13th. Butcher started nervously, but settled down at the 14th, winning the aext three holes. In the second round Mackay won the championship by 5 up and 4. He beat Butcher in putting.
