EXECUTIVE SUPPORTED.
London, Sept. 6. A message from Karlsbad says that
the Zionist Congress held a protracted debate regarding the administration of the executive, and ultimately passed a
vote of confidence in the executive by 348 votes to 58. The dissentients were members of the Socialist Party, whose grievance was the failure o*f the immigration. organisation. The result foreshadows the re-election of the present executive.
. Dr. Sokolow stressed two principles underlying the Jewish policy—firstly, the coincidence of interests with those
of the mandatory power lying outside themselves; and, secondly, the will of the Jewish people for Palestine. He pointed out that with far-reaching vision Great Britain had understood that the Jewish people could be a great de-
structive or constructive force, and decided to claim its constructive ability in building up Palestine.
