WONDERFUL REVOLVER. .

“SPOTLIGHTS” THE TARGET. There is in the possession of Detec-tive-Sergeant Roihson. of Sydney, a revolver which is the admiration or the police force. It has two barrels of which the second is a powerful electric torch. Set in its base is a high candlepower low-voltage electric lamp. In the stock of the revolver is carried the battery which supplies the power for the light. When the revolver Is grasped for shooting, the electric lamp is automatically switched on. ami on dark nights it will throw a circle of light on an object as far as 100 ft. away. The feature of the weapon is that the bullet will lodge in the. centre of the spotlight, wherever it falls.. In a test carried out the other night the revolver was clamped down and the light set on a target. The first shot tore a hole through the centre of the lighted portion of the target, and the remaining five bullets followed and disappeared" without making the slightest additional mark. The revolver was presented to Detective Robson by Sheriff R. R. \ eale ? of California, when he was in Sydney recently.
