TARANAKI TOURNAMENT. POSTPONED INDEFINITELY. Telegraphic advice was received yesterday that L. Cadman, who was to meet J. Heeney at New Plymouth next Saturday in a contest for the middle-weight championship, is ill with influenza at Auckland. At a special meeting of the Taranaki Boxing Association last night it was decided to await a doctor’s certificate from Cadman, and it was agreed to postpone the tournament till he is able to participate. The association intend to go on with the original programme and due notice will be given of the new date.
