PRICE OF FLOUR RAISED. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. Sydney, Sept. 14. The State Wheat Board has increased the price of flour 10s per ton. It is now £2O 17s Gd. DIGGER LOAN SUBSCRIBED. Melbourne, Sept. 14. Sir Joseph Cook announced that the “digger” £10,000,000 loan would be fully subscribed. Q. X.ENSLAND FINANCES. Brisbane, Sept. 14. In the Assembly Mr. Theodore, in his financial statement, anticipated that the revenue for the current year would be £12,270,000, and the expenditure £12,735,000. MURDER CHARGE ABANDONED. Melbourne, Sept. 14. The Crown Law Department has abandoned the charges against King and Jenkins, who were arrested in connection with the murder of the Sheards at Beaconsfield. AN INDUSTRIAL GROUP. Sydney, Sept. 14.
The Labor Council is convening a special conference for October 4 to consider the formation of an industrial .group in accordance with the recommendation of the All Australia Conference at Melbourne. CENSURE VOTE DEFEATED. Sydney, Sept. 14. In the Assembly the Lawson Ministry survived a censure motion moved by Mr Prendergast, which was defeated by 37 votes to 26. Seven members of the Farmers’ Party voted with the Government and five against.
