CARDS.
AVENUE ROAD CLUB, I A. meeting of the Avenue Road Card j Club was held at the Soldiers’ Club last ! evening, Mr. A. Millman presiding. It was decided to visit Stratford on Wednesday, September 28, to play the Stratford Club for the dhampionahip. The team will leave New Plymouth by Mr. Johnstone’s ’bus at 6 p.m. sharp. It was decided to hold n euchre party and dance at the end of the season. A ladies’ committee will be formed during the coming week and nil necessary arrangements made to make the function a great success.
